INSTRUCTIONS
BEGIN
Warp the loom using the sock yarn. Warp the loom at a width of 70cm[27.5”] and at a length of 100cm[39”] (which takes into account the yarn lost at the beginning and the end).
CONTINUE
After you have warped your loom, plain weave 8cm[3”] of foundation rows along the bottom using one of the colored dk/worsted yarn. Then take another color of the dk/worsted yarn and plain weave another 8cm[3”]. Always measure the woven rows when they are not under any tension. Start your first colored block by using the clasped weft weaving technique and continue by following the pattern all the way to the end. Your woven cloth should be 70cm[27.5”]x50cm[20”] to have enough woven fabric to sew a pillow of 40cm[16”]x60cm[24”].
END
Cut the cloth off the rigid heddle loom. To best preserve the fabric, it is best to hand wash it in cold water. Follow the instructions of the yarn. Now the woven fabric is ready to be sewn into a cushion. Of course, you can bring it to a seamstress, but it is very rewarding to do it yourself.
